Environment

Our Air. Our Water. Our Land. Our Future.

The place where we live, the water we drink, the air we breathe, the land we stand on is ours. It is our common ground. We all live and die by the success or failure of legislators in protecting the resources we rely on to keep Michigan clean, healthy, and attractive for residents, tourists, and businesses to thrive here.

I plan to save consumers money and propel our economy forward by reducing the cost of renewable energy, incentivizing energy efficiency in homes,  partnering with manufacturers who will bring 21st century clean energy  jobs to Michigan, creating a skilled workforce to meet the demands, and holding polluters accountable for paying their fair share.

If you live in Michigan, you know that our water and our health is being threatened on nearly every front. From lead pipes to PFAS to fracking, the chemicals in our water and the inability of our government to do anything about it is making us and our families sick. While our kids drink tainted water and our rivers are slick and foamy with manufacturing waste, the state is selling pristine groundwater to bottled water companies to profit off of. Something is wrong with this picture. This is a case of people over profit. These days, it’s the other way around. Your health and your safety are my bottom line and I am prepared to stand up to anyone who says differently.

  • Strengthening water quality standards.
  • Stabilizing Line 5 and protecting the future of our Great Lakes.
  • Preparing our workforce for 21st century jobs.
  • Incentivizing renewable energy consumption and home energy efficiency upgrades.
  • Replacing Michigan’s lead pipes.
  • Filtration and treatment of PFAS contaminated water.
